You Know It's Going To Be A Long Night When ...

You know it's going to be a long night when:

*You go to bed early on a Saturday night because you're so tired, and all you want is a decent night's sleep, BUT ....

*Your toddler refuses to eat anything for dinner - and wakes up at 2:34am wanting a bowl of cereal.

*Your baby wakes up to nurse for the first time at 11pm.

*Your two year old refuses to keep his pajama's on, and every time you go to check on him, he's laying on his bed wearing only his diaper, and he falls asleep that way and wakes up freezing - yet still refuses to keep his pajamas on.

*Your baby wakes up for a second feeding at 12:30am.

*Your baby wakes up for a THIRD feeding at 2am.

*You get tired of getting in and out of bed to get your baby that refuses to stay asleep, so you keep her in bed with you.

*Your husband magically sleeps through all of the above.

*You contemplate giving both children a dose of Benadryl so you can get some sleep.

*You keep the baby hooked onto your breast because that is the only way she will stay asleep.

*You contemplate selling your children.

*You have a dream while you're half asleep/half awake that you are stuck in your room ~ ALONE ~ with a gigantic white box pushed up against the door while your children and husband are conveniently stuck outside the door.

*You contemplate giving your children away.

*It's Sunday morning, and you're laying on the couch, and you don't care that your toddler just got himself his third piece of cake for breakfast.

*Your husband is still magically asleep.

*You contemplate giving your husband away.

Oh man, Katie. Sorry about the long night. That really stinks. But a part of me has to definitely take your side...sleeping husbands perhaps should be given away. :)
