Half A Decade.

We started the day with static balloons.
Which progressed into a BBQ at the park with our family and Jackson's best buddy, Freeman, and his family.
And a worm eating contest.

Which progressed into a full-on pudding pie fight. Which, to be honest, I didn't see coming. Why, with a 16 year old present, did I not see it coming?!

Then, we did a little face painting.

Grandma and Mom were no exceptions. Mia painted a "flower and a crown." Can't you tell? And then enthusiastically asked, "Who's next?" Sadly, there were no takers.

Then we went fishing.

For cool prizes.
Like over sized glasses.
And comic books. (That were originally for Jackson, but it looks like Dad was the most interested.)

And swords.
Last, we sang happy birthday to the birthday boy who didn't really care to listen.

But, I'm pretty sure it was the best 5th birthday he's ever had.

No, Brianne. He did, however, get a much coveted pillow pet that has named Bumble. Mr. Bumble.
