Bad News: Our dishwasher leaked right under our laminate floors. By the time we knew it, it was too late.
Good News (or more bad news?): We got a new dishwasher. Oh, and we have to get new kitchen, dining room, mud room, and laundry room floors. And since we're at it, we thought we might as well replace the living room floor, too. Right now, we're walking around on ply wood. Feels kindda rustic. And splintery. And currently, half our living room furniture is in my bedroom. The dining room table is in the middle of my kitchen, right in front of my stove. Our couches are covered in plastic wrap and old sheets. And the laundry is completely out of control, although that has nothing to do with the floors being ripped up. Ahhh - home sweet home.

Woodsy and rustic... should bring back good memories of Alaska. :) I hope insurance is covering this at least!
Oh my goodness! Sounds like just what you need eh? I bet the kids think it's quite an adventure though!
Hope it gets fixed soon and that you LOVE the floors once they are in.
